About ME

Hello fellow crafters! Welcome to Knit Paint Sew. I hope you find some inspiration on this blog to unleash your own creativity and make artistic projects that you and your loved ones will cherish.

A bit about me:

I’m lucky enough to come from a family of artists and crafters: my maternal great-grandfather was a professional painter, my paternal-grandmother taught me to knit from a young age (see photo), and my mom taught me to sew when I was 10 years old so I could start a 5th grade business selling homemade scrunchies (ah the 90s!).

I studied Economics and Business at university and then grad school, and from there started I started working in Tech in San Francisco. I admittedly lost touch with my artistic side and stopped creating for a some time while I focused on growing my intense career.

As I spent more and more time in front of a laptop and less and less time creating, I finally realized that my life was out of balance. I turned to crafting blogs and YouTube videos to re-learn and sharpen my knitting, crocheting, sewing and painting skills, and as my skills improved, I started to create my own patterns and projects. I learned so much from many crafting blogs offering free patterns and tutorials that I felt inspired to pay it forward, and thus Knit Paint Sew was born!
